For the first Cryptic Night, Glasgow School of Art graduate James, will showcase much of his work and talk through his ideas and inspiration. His haunting remix of Radiohead’s Nude, employing an old scanner, a dot matrix printer, old hard drives and a ZX spectrum, has received over a million online views, won the acclaim of Thom Yorke and has even being offered a record deal, despite not even being a musician. On the night, James will be supported by new and upcoming musician John B McKenna.

Great night, looking forward to rest of them. So nice to see the CCA busy and with new local talent too.

Thought the talk by james was excellent - engaging, entertaining & humorous! The food was mouth-watering & the cafe staff were pleasant (if pretty stressed). Jason dee’s projections were totally engrossing - esp the running one. Finally jmckenna’s method of layering sound was fasinating. Thanks 4 a thought-provoking evening!
